Atlanta Walk of Fame Youth Training Programs

The Atlanta Walk of Fame Youth Program is proud to sponsor a unique opportunity to learn film and tv acting from a veteran in the arts.  This fast-paced workshop is taught by Loretta Chandler, award winning performer, writer, and producer. She is best known for her portrayal of “Dusty Tyler” on the hit TV series “Fame,” and played the lead role of “Effie White” in a world tour theatrical production of “Dream Girls!” Her most recent TV appearance was on “The One Show” in Europe and now she’s here in Douglasville to teach aspiring actors!

With an ever-growing entertainment industry, Chandler brings her many years of professional experience and valuable knowledge to students who share a passion for acting. No matter your acting goal, be it stage or television, this course will help you utilize your natural gift of imagination to improve self-confidence, enhance social skills and build creative expression!  Learning objectives include, but are not limited to, self-tape audition techniques, scene study, cold readings, sensory exercises, improvising, vocal techniques, and breathing exercises.

By the end of the course, students will have worked toward a final performance that will be recorded for families to view and students to keep for future reflections as they continue to grow in their craft. A code of conduct will be signed by incoming students.
